“When we acquired the company in 2020, it was exporting to just 5 or 6 countries,” said Ariç. “Thanks to our strategic investments, by 2021 we were exporting to 45 countries, and as of this year, that number has reached 80.” Along with the global reach, Doratek Medikal expanded its catalog from just 1,000 to over 10,000 individual medical products, cementing its position as one of Türkiye’s most dynamic healthcare exporters.
The company’s aggressive expansion strategy focuses particularly on orthopedic and sports surgery devices, including customized solutions for foot deformities. Ariç emphasized their goal of reducing Türkiye’s dependency on imported medical products, aiming instead to “transform the perception of ‘Made in Türkiye’ into a global standard of excellence.”

In a highly regulated and competitive industry, Doratek Medikal stood out during one of the most rigorous phases in European regulatory compliance. Amid widespread company closures in Europe due to stricter CE certification standards, Doratek not only maintained its CE status but was also recognized with the 2025 “Best Orthopedic Manufacturer in Europe” award by Medicaltech Europe.
“We are proud to be the first company from Türkiye to receive this honor,” noted Ariç.
The company now manufactures for two major European and American brands under its own name, a significant step toward brand visibility in global markets. “We’re producing for leading names in the industry—under our own design, quality, and name,” Ariç said. “We are not just suppliers, we are shaping the global medtech landscape.”
Focus on High-Tech and Sustainable R&D
Doratek Medikal’s R&D division has played a central role in its rise. The company has developed two patented orthopedic and spinal surgery products that are fully biocompatible and designed to remain inside the human body for up to 40 years. Ariç revealed that Doratek is currently constructing a new high-tech production facility expected to be operational by the end of the year. The new facility will offer five times the current production capacity, integrating advanced technologies for better scalability and efficiency.
“We are also transitioning into a group structure by acquiring two companies,” Ariç explained. “This will allow us to expand into biological products and integrate new lines of R&D into our existing portfolio.”

Doratek Medikal’s rise isn’t limited to industry accolades. The company’s implants and surgical solutions have been used in procedures for internationally recognized athletes, including world champion sports figures and professional footballers.
