Türkiye’s official tourism brand GoTürkiye has achieved a historic digital breakthrough in the first half of 2025, surpassing global competitors and solidifying its position as the most influential tourism promotion account in the world. Backed by the Türkiye Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA), GoTürkiye’s data-driven and multi-platform strategy has not only captured global attention but also reshaped the standards for national digital tourism branding.

YouTube Surge: From Growth to Global Leadership

In just six months, GoTürkiye’s YouTube channel experienced an extraordinary 55% increase in views, reaching 763 million impressions. Engagement soared by 123%, jumping from 54.9 million to 122.6 million interactions. Even more impressively, the channel’s subscriber base skyrocketed by 146%, growing from 2.1 million to 5.2 million subscribers.

These milestones positioned GoTürkiye as the top-performing national tourism channel on YouTube, ahead of globally recognized counterparts like:

  • VisitDubai (UAE)

  • NEOMChannel (Saudi Arabia)

  • Switzerland Tourism

  • VisitSingapore

TikTok Triumph: 1.4 Billion Impressions, Global Rank #1

GoTürkiye also dominated TikTok, a crucial platform for reaching Gen Z and young travelers. In the first half of 2025, impressions surged to 1.4 billion, a 53% growth from the previous year’s 916 million. The follower count rose by 34%, from 3.46 million to 4.64 million.

These numbers make GoTürkiye the undisputed leader among national tourism accounts on TikTok, surpassing:

  • DiscoverHongKong

  • Visit_Singapore

  • InAbuDhabi

Instagram Engagement Skyrockets by 127%

On Instagram, the platform known for visual storytelling and destination inspiration, GoTürkiye reported impressive numbers:

  • Impressions: Up 51%, from 538 million to 812 million

  • Engagement: Jumped 127%, from 62 million to 141 million

  • Followers: Increased 15%, reaching 3.78 million

These achievements placed GoTürkiye second globally among national tourism Instagram accounts, further amplifying Türkiye’s visibility across key travel demographics.


Sight & Sound Sessions: A Soundtrack to Türkiye’s Natural Wonders

Among GoTürkiye’s most compelling content initiatives is the Sight & Sound Sessions, a musical project blending world-class DJ performances with Türkiye’s stunning landscapes. Launched in 2022, the series has featured iconic performances by:
