Huawei’s Maextro S800 was officially showcased at the Shanghai Auto Show. The Maextro brand is positioned as Huawei’s fourth and highest-tier brand under the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA).
Maextro S800 Makes Its Debut
The model stands out primarily due to its innovative interior design. The vehicle features a three-screen setup on its front console, and the roof is equipped with a special starry-effect lighting. The car was initially announced on November 26, 2024, with a price range between $137,000 and $205,000.
Richard Yu, one of Huawei’s executives, confirmed in a statement made in February that the Maextro S800 would be launched by the end of May.
Versions and Specifications
The Maextro S800 will be available in two versions: an Extended-Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) and a Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV). Both versions feature identical dimensions: 5,480 mm in length, 2,000 mm in width, 1,536 mm in height, and a 3,370 mm wheelbase. Additionally, there will be four-seat and five-seat configurations available.
The EREV version will be equipped with a 65 kWh high-voltage 800V battery, which supports 6C fast-charging. This allows the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in just 10.5 minutes.
The BEV version will use a 5C supported battery system, completing the same charging process in approximately 12 minutes.
