For the first time in its history, the Hot Wheels™ Legends Tour—one of the world’s most iconic automotive events—made a stop in Türkiye, drawing over 30,000 visitors to Istanbul Park on August 23–24. Featuring custom-built cars, drift shows, and legendary die-cast dreams, the event celebrated not just engineering and design, but the creative soul of car culture in Türkiye.
As a result of public votes and jury selection, the event crowned Oğuzcan Pelit and his unique custom car “Sanayi Güzeli” as the winner. His project, a 1990 Tofaş Şahin fused with cyberpunk aesthetics, will now represent Türkiye in the EMEA regional finals, bringing the country one step closer to seeing a locally inspired car transformed into a 1:64 Hot Wheels die-cast model.

Hot Wheels Legends Tour, held across 16 countries in 2025, is a global search for the next car to be immortalized in miniature form. The winning car, “Sanayi Güzeli”, was built by Oğuzcan Pelit, who captivated the audience and jury with a futuristic reimagination of a classic Turkish model. Featuring cyberpunk design elements on a Tofaş Şahin, the vehicle was both a nod to nostalgia and a bold leap into sci-fi design.
“I’ve never even owned a car, let alone driven something like this,” said Pelit. “But I’ve always been fascinated by automotive aesthetics, and I’ve been a Hot Wheels fan for as long as I can remember. The idea of seeing my car as a Hot Wheels model pushed me to join. I wanted to merge Türkiye’s iconic Tofaş with a cyberpunk theme—and apparently, it worked.”
His build, which translates to “Beauty of the Workshop”, wasn’t just about looks—it told a story of imagination, identity, and technical creativity.

The selection process was guided by a prestigious jury panel, including:

Another major draw was Doğukan Manço, the musician and automotive enthusiast, who participated with his custom-built Nissan Skyline. Manço expressed admiration for the event’s diversity and reach.
“The turnout was incredible,” he said. “It wasn’t just car guys—it was families, collectors, kids, engineers. That blend made the energy unique. I’m honored that my car was among the 15 finalists. Just being part of it was a win.”
